"You got any guitars for sale?" Abramorama has debuted an official trailer for an indie music documentary titled Carmine Street Guitars, made by Canadian filmmaker Ron Mann, profiling the iconic guitar store in NYC where Rick Kelly makes custom guitars. 

Documentary Ghost Fleet has gotten a release date via Abramorama.

The feature about the search for men marooned on remote Indonesian islands after years of forced labor on Thai fishing boats will hit theaters June 7, a release that coincides with World Oceans Day on June 8. 

Ron Mann’s documentary eschews most of the standard devices; there’s no narration, no talking heads, no archival materials. He just spends a few days hanging out in the shop, watching Rick and his apprentice Cindy work, and eavesdropping as musicians and Village figures (including Lenny Kaye, Bill Frisell, Wilco’s Nels Cline, and the Roots’ Kirk Douglas) pop in to shoot the breeze and play music.

Featuring a cast of prominent musicians and artists, and some virtuoso performances, the film captures five days in the life of one shop in the heart of Greenwich Village that remains resilient to an all-too-quickly vanishing way of life.

Once the center of the New York bohemia, Greenwich Village is now home to lux restaurants, and buzzer door clothing stores catering to the nouveau riche. But one shop in the heart of the Village remains resilient to the encroaching gentrification: Carmine Street Guitars.

Abramorama is partnering with Experience Hendrix LLC and Sony Legacy Recordings to release their concert documentary “Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church” in more than 35 theaters over the next two months.

The film's theatrical run -- through Abramorama, which also did Ron Howard's documentary The Beatles: Eight Days A Week -- The Touring Years -- begins Jan. 31, including a special screening at the ArcLight Hollywood theater that will include a discussion by director John McDermott of Experience Hendrix, record producer and engineer Eddie Kramer, Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix and Steve Rash, the original producer/director of Atlanta Pop.

Who Will Write, a documentary released by Abramorama, found an audience this weekend with its $12,719 gross. The portrait of a man who kept an archive of recollections in the Warsaw Ghetto will get access to a much larger audience with an event slate of showings later this month.

Who Will Write Our History, Abramorama’s Roberta Grossman documentary about a secret band of journalists, scholars and community leaders in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1940 who fought back against Nazi propaganda with pen and paper, will be spotlighted as part of a global screening event January 27 on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The theatrical premiere of this previously never-before-seen film Features live performances from Paul McCartney & Wings  and the animated Bruce McMouse. Today Paul announced in partnership with Abramorama and MPL/Capitol/UMe to premiere The Bruce McMouse Show in select cinemas around the world on Monday 21st January.

From Abramorama, the documentary tracing the work of historian Emanuel Ringelblum and a group of journalists, scholars, and community leaders — who defied the Nazis and their propaganda by recording the war from the Jewish perspective — will open at New York’s Quad Cinema on January 18 and at multiple Laemmle theaters in Los Angeles on February 1.
